Joining God's Mission—Here, Near, and Far

At Sycamore, outreach isn't just something we do—it's part of who we are. Whether through supporting missionaries around the world, serving our neighbors in Midlothian, or preparing our church campus for the future, we are committed to seeing the gospel go forward.

Missions at Sycamore: Global, National & Local

We partner with over 50 missionaries and ministries—across the world, around the U.S., and right here in Midlothian. From church planting in Europe to mentoring students at Elijah House Academy, our church is committed to gospel-centered mission in every sphere of life.

Preparing for the Future

What's Next for Sycamore?

Sycamore’s church body is committed, through diligent prayer, to seek God’s will and to sacrifice for the unique opportunities to grow His kingdom in Midlothian today.
Why now?
Did you wonder why you were asked to participate in a feasibility study? Is the church going to build a new sanctuary? Are we planting another church? This page is for the latest information answering those questions. The video below is from our townhall meeting in November 2024.

Update - February 2, 2025
Starting with the feasibility Townhall in early November, we asked you to enter a season of prayer regarding our building and facility needs. God has answered our prayers, helping us to eliminate a couple options. We had the opportunity to acquire a nearby piece of property, but we are convinced that we are to stay in this place… Right here! We also had an opportunity to swap buildings with the church located very close to us, and we decided to pass on that option.

We have engaged a financial consultant, a construction company, and an architect. We also have a master site plan team in place made up of Sycamore officers and members, including men and women in various ages.

We are launching the next phase of this program, and the session is now crafting a gospel focused vision statement for our upcoming campaign. We ask you to continue praying for wisdom and discernment for everyone involved as our“equipping“ process moves forward. Thank you!
